About The Event



Join us for 3D Nuke Missile in front of the Peace Palace in the Hague, on September 26. This is an interactive art installation. Participants are invited to hold the chains to stop the nuclear missile being launched. Take a selfie of yourself on the missile. Post your photo social media. A special action for Nuclear Abolition Day.


Why the Peace Palace? In 1996 the International Court of Justice (ICJ) affirmed, in an historic case on nuclear weapons, that the threat or use of nuclear weapons is generally illegal and that there is a universal obligation of States to negotiate to achieve the global elimination of nuclear weapons. States need to implement this obligation, rather than continuing a costly ($100 billion per year) nuclear arms race and threatening the use of these weapons.
